Last week's story of the graffiti-covered house and our mayor made its way into the Times Union today: "A Hudson building was vandalized. The mayor rushed over to take a selfie." Accompanying the article is this picture of Mayor Kamal Johnson, which is also now his profile picture on Facebook.
The Times Union article quotes Johnson's comment about the picture on Facebook, "Yall better make this my most liked pic ever lol." The article goes on to report:
The photo garnered hundreds of Facebook “likes” and signaled Johnson’s willingness to play the role of provocateur as he vies to keep his job in November as a candidate on the Working Families Party ballot.
Johnson lost to Joe Ferris--420 to 500--in the Democratic primary on June 24 but remains on the ballot as the Working Families Party candidate.
Overconfident mistake number two. The first one was his debate performance. Can’t wait for number three.
