Get Ready for the Snow

Winter Storm Nika isn't due to arrive until midnight, but the mayor has already declared a snow emergency. Here's the drill:

  • Tonight--Tuesday, February 4--starting at 8 p.m. and continuing for 24 hours, there will be NO PARKING on the EVEN SIDE of the street.
  • From 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5, until 4 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, there will be NO PARKING on the ODD SIDE of the street.
The snow emergency ends at 4 p.m. on Thursday, and snow removal begins eight hours later at midnight.
  • From midnight to noon on Friday, February 7, there will be NO PARKING on the EVEN SIDE of the street.
  • From midnight to noon on Saturday, February 8, there will be NO PARKING on the ODD SIDE of the street.
During snow removal, you are urged to follow the signs. Should there be a discrepancy between these directives and the signs, the signs presumably prevail.

  1. I find it strangely odd that the snow removal parking instructions and those found above are drastically different than the snow removal signage posted on the 800 block on Warren ... No wonder everyone is confused if the website and the posted signage don't correspond!
