DPW superintendent Rob Perry reports that, owing to the tremendous amount of snow that has fallen in the past few days, snow removal is taking three times longer than it typically does. With the snow continuing today, equipment and workers have been overwhelmed.
According to the published schedule, cars are supposed to be parked on the even side of the street, from now until noon on Sunday, but in most places, no snow has been removed from the even side, and the "No Parking" signs are still in place. For the time being, it seems, the signs should be relied on to indicate where it's safe to park.
