The Deadline Approaches

Last Wednesday, after a little more than two hours, the Planning Board closed the public hearing for oral comment on Colarusso's application for a conditional use permit for its proposed paved, two-lane haul road through South Bay but kept the hearing open for written comments for ten business days. This means that written comments on the proposal can be submitted to the members of the Planning Board until the close of business (which Gossips takes to be 5:00 p.m.) on Tuesday, October 10. The names and email addresses of the Planning Board members can be found here.

  1. I've kept an eye on the Colarusso hearings for seven years, and not one Planning Board member has raised the most basic, fundamental question: if the gravel dump & haul road scheme would not provide lots of employment and a big revenue stream for Hudson, then why in the world are we still considering the proposition?

  2. Do restaurants provide lots of employment and big revenue streams for Hudson?
