Open Studio Hudson returns this weekend for its fourth year of showcasing local artists in our community. On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, October 7, 8, and 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day, Hudson artists welcome collectors, neighbors, and curators to their private studios for behind-the-scenes, unfiltered conversations about process and purpose.
Galleries and curators provide a vital service, but many artists do not have professional representation. Open Studio Hudson 2023 (OSH 2023) is an all-inclusive exhibition encouraging more freedom and authenticity without being juried. Visitors can enjoy a self-guided tour of artist's studios, choosing from a wide range of creative disciplines and techniques, most within an easily walkable area.

ReplyDeleteIn my tour of Open Studios today I visited Sarah Sterling's studio. This is a photographic studio. The breadth of images from birds in full flight to quiet marshland is extraordinary. I encourage any lover of photography to visit this studio. You will not be disappointed.
