Peter Spear spotted these and posted about them on Instagram yesterday: envelopes with the words "CONFIDENTIAL ATTN: BUSINESS OWNER" taped to the doors of businesses along Warren Street.

This is old world, analogue-style spam, with the “confidential” rubber stamp and everything. It seems aimed at people who may be older and possibly don’t know better. It’s creepy in its old-school approach, in 2025.
ReplyDeleteBut I thought about it more and it’s a little foreboding… it’s like, word is out. Hudson is up for grabs because the city isn’t watching its own business district. Come one, come all! Grifters and con men alike! This is not the kind of thing that pops up in a healthy city. At least, one could surmise.
