The
Register-Star reports this morning that the City of Hudson has ordered Cargill to cease and desist its illegal practice of trucking salt to the river and storing more than the permitted amount of salt at the dock:
"City issues cease and desist for salt trucking." The article fails to mention that the conditions of the permit issued to Cargill in 1996 were investigated and brought to light by First Ward Alderman Sarah Sterling at the August meeting of the Common Council.
