Not to Be Missed

There is an article in today's New York Times about the plan to upgrade 153 miles of transmission lines, from upstate New York to New York City, and the expected negative impacts on the Hudson River Valley, which the article acknowledges is "one of the richest areas--visually and environmentally--in the state": "With Power Comes Ambivalence."

  1. No map? We want maps! :) Anyway, don't know if it is current, but here is a link to a map of the power line route through Columbia County that was in the Hudson Register.

  2. New Hampshire is faced with a similar proposal from a corporate partnership between Hydro-Quebec and Connecticut-based Northeast Utilities.
