Dear Elected Hudson City School District Board of
Education Members:
I am writing to urge you to do the job you voluntarily
ran to do: educate all of the students.
In that vein, I urge you to take the following steps:
Immediately cancel the Contract for Services for the Superintendent Search and
negotiate an exit settlement that represents the best interests of the
taxpayers.
Immediately hire one of the qualified and available persons who currently work for
the HCSD and who are part of Bluehawk Nation.
Immediately convene
a Board-level Literacy Task Force to determine why such a significant
percentage of the students in this district do not read at grade level
standards. Additionally, this Task Force should be charged with
determining why the HCSD has such an embarrassingly low graduation rate.
Each of you board members actively and
competitively sought these positions. The HCSD is in crisis. It's time for deliberate action.
