Gossips has received confirmation that an offer for Basilica Industria has been tendered and accepted. The identity of the buyer cannot be revealed until a contract is signed sometime next week, but what can be revealed is that the buyer is not Eric Galloway or the City of Hudson. Galloway made several offers on the building, Mayor Scalera also made inquiries, and there were rumors last week that Galloway wanted to buy the Basilica so he could swap it with the City for the former Dunn Warehouse building across the street from Henry Hudson Riverfront Park.
I have a feeling this deal is with Patricks blessing - thank goodness - he truly deserves to leave Hudson on a good vibe.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine why the City would swap the Dunn Warehouse for the Basilica. The Dunn building ties nicely into the waterfront park, and should be incorporated in that way. What in the world would the City do with Basilica, other than use it to facilitate the truck route that some of the shills for O & G Construction are pushing?
ReplyDeleteGalloway was putting together a deal to buy a property and then swap it with the city? What if other people wanted that deal? How did Galloway know the city wanted the Basilica. Sounds a lot like insider trading to me. Glad it will be in private hands instead.
ReplyDeleteGlad it is in private hands? So is the city because now there will be no alternative road to the O&G dock. galloway doesn't need to trade he just whips out the cash. Loser here seems to be DOYLE and those that wanted the city to get his property for the stupid idea of a truck road. Winner: THE CITY
ReplyDeleteNO truck road - NO O & G - Winner: THE CITY
