Big(gish) City, Little City

The population of Albany is almost fifteen times greater than that of Hudson--Albany 97,660; Hudson 6,657--but when it comes to public education and chickens, things are remarkably similar. The Times Union reports that in Albany, where a law allowing backyard chickens was passed by the Common Council and vetoed by the mayor, chickens have become a major issue in the mayoral campaign: "Backyard chicken issue rules roost." A foreshadowing of things to come in Hudson?
