City Hall has issued the following statement:
Due to today's flooding and several more inches of rain expected to fall throughout the day, all non-essential City offices are closed. This includes City Hall, Code Enforcement, and the Youth Department.
Please be safe and stay off roads to whatever extend possible.
Take note all that Charles Wms. Field is flooded.

Yes Virginia, the citizens are correct it is a flood plain area.
