2014 Historic Detail Hunt: All Is Revealed

The time has come to announce the winners in this year's Historic Detail Hunt and to reveal the locations of the details.

The big winners this year are Curt and Mary Elizabeth Vincent, who identified all thirty-one details correctly and were first to submit their answers--at 10:43 a.m. on Sunday, June 1. They did the hunt the way Gossips fantasized everyone would. Here's an excerpt from the email that accompanied their list: "After logging (on foot) 3-4 miles on an almost daily basis we have enclosed our entry list of details for the Historic Detail Hunt." Curt and Mary Elizabeth win a $50 gift certificate to the Red Dot.

The next winner is Alane Mazzacano, who submitted her list, with all thirty-one details correctly identified, on Monday, June 2, at 12:20 p.m. Alane identified all the details correctly in last year's detail hunt, too. Last year, she won nothing, because there was nothing to win. This year, she gets a $25 gift certificate to Look

The next winners are Jeff Mousseau and Paul Ricciardi, who submitted their list of correct answers yesterday at 11:49 a.m. Up until they started doing the detail hunt, only Jeff owned a bicycle. Last weekend, they decided that the hunt was more safely and effectively done by bicycle than by car, so Paul bought himself a bike, too. Jeff and Paul are getting the $25 gift certificate to Olde Hudson.

The final winners are a team made up of Lisa Durfee, Windle Davis, and Melanie Basner, who submitted their list of correct answers at 8:08 p.m. last night. Working alone, each was close to identifying all the details; pooling their answers, they got them all. Lisa, Windle, and Melanie win the $25 gift certificate to Park Falafel & Pizza
