Late Night Skulduggery
When I was walking William on Wednesday morning, on Partition Street in the 200 block, I encountered police officers who were going around the neighborhood questioning residents to find out if anyone had seen or heard anything late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. During the night, someone had opened a fire hydrant on Partition Street near Second, causing thousands of gallons of water to gush out onto the street. Another fire hydrant had been opened on Paddock Place earlier in the week. Any suspicious activity observed in the vicinity of a fire hydrant late at night, especially if a wrench is involved, should be reported to the police at (518) 828-3388.
