In March 2017, Ferol Barton Blake told the Planning Board that the brick was to be re-glazed, "going from mustard yellow to blue-gray." So far the painting seems restricted to the wood of the oriel and the cornice. Could it be that there has been a change of heart and the brick, which is really more the color of brown mustard than yellow mustard, is to be spared? We will watch and see.
Update: Gossips has it on good authority that the plan to re-glaze the brick has been abandoned. The brick will remain its original color: mustard brown, or more congenially honey brown.

The manse no longer ......
OMG. This is horrendous. WTH? First they take off the tile roof which would have lasted for 200 years and was integral to the design. Then they do THIS! It's unbelievable and should not have been allowed. It looks dreadful. That poor house.
ReplyDeleteFine . Then paint that massive blackout porch enclosure to match the bricks ... PLEASE
