Ear to the Ground

Although it has not been officially announced, Gossips has confirmed that the new mayor's aide and ADA coordinator is none other than former mayor of Hudson (2016-2017) Tiffany Martin.

We are simply aghast. How dare Mayor Ferris hire a life-long Hudsonian with deep roots and actual People Operations experience in big and small tech, local and faraway?

We were promised gentrifying Brooklynites and oat milk, not a qualified home-owning taxpayer who actually knows the Department Heads, can see Oakdale and HCSD "from her house", and managed the budget before it doubled to $20m.

A Ghent resident on Warren Street was overheard describing the appointment as "like the competence, storied family, and work-ethic of White House CoS Susie Wiles, but much younger, pro-immigrant, pro-belonging, great hair, and with Hudson and New York appropriate political views and family. No Florida energy."

    Unprecedented.

What's next... a group of heavily armed, "undocumented" tourists simply deciding to visit Caracas for some enthusiastic, uninvited sightseeing of area fireworks and socialism.

While there, they facilitate Mr. Maduro's transition into an involuntary, non-compliant travel tax payer funded program to Brooklyn to visit Sean "diddy" Combs and heartthrob Luigi Mangione.

    Stranger things have happened.

But that is a problem for the Southern District of New York.

Our problem is the budget, parking, taxes etc.

Congratulations, Mayoral Aide Martin, and welcome back to the circus.

  3. Wait?! Does that mean the ADA officer and mayoral aide is now one position? Or was that the case before?

    1. That was always the case, ever since the task of ADA coordinator was created back in 2020.

  4. The perfect choice and one thing I'm very excited about! Tiffany provides institutional insight into how Hudson works that is still relevant right now and she's well respected across the aisles - a rarity in Hudson.
