Of Interest

The Times Union published an article today called "Upstate New York's population changed drastically this decade." Of interest is this interactive map that accompanies the article. Click on any county in the United States and find out that county's population loss and gain between 2020 and 2023.

According to the map, between 2020 and 2023, 7,788 people moved into Columbia County, and 7,822 left, for a net loss of 34 people.

  2. People tend to move where there are good jobs and good affordable housing.
