Meetings and Events in the Week Ahead

As we begin the first full week of October, here is what's happening.
  • On Monday, October 5, the Board of Estimate and Apportionment (BEA) has three workshops to receive three budget requests. The workshops are hybrid, taking place in person at City Hall and on Teams. Although the workshops run consecutively, each has a different link.   • At 5:30 p.m. on Monday, October 5, the Common Council Safety Committee (Fire, Police, and Code Enforcement) holds its monthly meeting. The meeting is a hybrid, taking place in person at City Hall and on Teams. Click here to join the meeting remotely.
  • On Tuesday, October 6, the Conservation Advisory Council meets at 6:00 p.m. The meeting is a hybrid, taking place in person at City Hall and on Teams. Click here for the link to join the meeting remotely.
  • On Thursday, October 8, the Common Council Legal Committee meets at 6:00 p.m. The meeting is a hybrid, taking place in person at City Hall and on Teams. Click here to join the meeting remotely.
  • On Friday, October 9, the Historic Preservation Commission meets at 10:00 a.m. The meeting will include a public hearing on the new application for Hudson Public Hotel, 402-406 Warren Street, addressing the list of violations that triggered a stop-work order. The new application reflecting the work that was done in violation of the original certificate of appropriateness can be found here.   • On Saturday, October 10, from 8:00 a.m. to noon, Columbia County Solid Waste Department holds a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event at 50 Grandinetti Drive in Ghent. Click on the image below to learn what will and will not be accepted.
  • On Saturday and Sunday, October 10 and 11, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, it is Hudson Open Studios, the annual celebration of local artists in Hudson. Across the weekend, fifty artists open their studios to the public or display their work in pop-ups and galleries. Meet painters, sculptors, printmakers, photographers, and makers. Purchase art.
