Yesterday, Gossips published a legal notice from the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation about the Colarusso proposal to build a new two-lane paved road through South Bay, which appeared in the Register-Star. The legal notice continued on for three columns, in the little narrow columns of the public notices page, and the entire final column was missed. What was omitted was the deadline for public comments and information about submitting them. So here is the rest of the legal notice. It has also been appended to yesterday's post.
The publication date for the notice was October 4, 2017.

Thanks Gossips, for updating the public comment information on the DEC's review of the wetlands permit.
ReplyDeletePlease see the comments under yesterday's related post, which catalogue the unfitness of the DEC's Patricia Gabriel to review any further comments and to have any more involvement with this case.
It was Gabriel's incompetence, or worse, in the DEC's SEQR review for the bulkhead and revetment proposal (and likely her responsibility alone) which arguably led to the consequent lawsuits between the City, the Town, and the Applicant. Had she heeded specific public comments, this one disaster would have been avoided.
She didn't heed the public because she puts herself above the public. (Then, when the public proves her wrong, to all appearances she retaliates.)
The comments following yesterday's Gossips post make a long, detailed case why the City should request of DEC Commissioner Seggos that, henceforth, Patricia Gabriel of the Region 4 office recuse herself from all-things-South Bay.
Because comment periods have a limited shelf life, the sooner residents push for this the better.
