Imagine that! Only yesterday, Gossips reported that, while the building at Seventh and Columbia streets that was to become her eponymous institute stood vacant and abandoned, Marina Abramovic was selling macaroons "that tasted like her."
Today, the Times Union reports that Abramovic has officially given up the idea of creating the Marina Abramovic Institute in Hudson: "Performance artist abandons Hudson plans."
According to the article, the estimated cost of transforming the building, which she purchased in 2007 for $950,000, "ballooned" from $15 million to $31 million. Now, it is speculated, she will likely try to sell it.
