Last week, Bill Huston took down his blog HUDseen, but that action hasn't stopped him from observing things that outrage him. Yesterday, he shared something he'd seen with Gossips. It appears that cement mixers making deliveries to the site of Galvan's hotel project at Fourth and Warren streets are emptying their excess cement in the vacant lot at the corner of Fourth and Columbia, a lot that Eric Galloway outbid the City to acquire in 2003.
Huston provided these pictures.
Galloway shits on Hudson. What's next -- dog bites man? Nothing new here.
ReplyDeleteAnd you wonder why Galvan's sidewalks are so destroyed, neglected and dangerous.
ReplyDeleteThe sidewalks on Allen Street are mostly terrible and Galvan repairs all the sidewalks where he is doing renovations. I would easily say several of the sidewalks on Allen are dangerous, even the sidewalk on the side of Talbot & Arding could easily trip someone. Everyone is so quick to call out Galvan, but take a look around, he is not blame for all of Hudson's issues.
DeleteIts not unusual for concrete transit mix trucks to dump their unused loads somewhere, usually with permission. The fact Galloway is doing this on his own property is not a crime and 'no ones' business, certainly not Bills. Its Galloway's mess to clean up.
ReplyDeleteWho said anything about it being a crime?
Delete@ leonardo, 100% correct. It is his property.
ReplyDeleteActually, no. Hudson City Code Art. 157 prohibits dumping refuse on public or private property unless containerized and then only for 7 days unless it’s to be used as sanitary fill (sand, gravel, rock — not the dregs of a cement mixer which are toxic). Private property isn’t the sine qua non you seem to think it is.
DeleteJKF ... To support Bills nuisance intrusion into another's business only encourages him and you in this case. Gossips anything Galloway post ... wasn't news worthy.
