Tacos on Monday at American Glory. So they now want to compete with Tortillaville! A terrific neighbor, American Glory! Guess there will soon be enchiladas on Tuesday, quesadillas on Wednesday, burritos on Thursday and chimichangas on Friday. Can't wait!
they might as well forget about their branch at 5th and warren - no one ever goes there - just a place to park his 'food vendor truck'
I've been competing with fellow commercial photographers for over three decades - it makes us stronger and we know it.Taco Wars? Can we start with Mexican Radio? How about coffee at Swallow vs. Le Perche? How about pizza at Park Falafel vs. Baba Louie? How about art at Haddad vs. Davis? How about a salad at The Cascades vs. Da|Ba??
Taco Monday is a bit odd, since they don't have tacos, or any other 'Mexican food' on their regular menu.
That's OK Judy, according to Chad. It's called competing. Next American Glory will be doing chicken parmigiana and linguini with white clam sauce so they can compete with Ca Mea. Then it can be art supplies and books to compete with Spotty Dog. At least Chad's comparisons make sense. Coffee vs. coffee; pizza vs. pizza. But a place that CLAIMS to have the best BBQ around now wants to do Mexican food. That's just being nasty and jealous. Tortillaville is always busy, busy and as Vincent says, "Noboby ever goes to the American Glory food truck".
Maybe Joe's pivoting his menu. Regardless, I'm with Chad -- competition is good for everyone: it raises the bar for quality and lowers the bar for price.
AG has been doing taco monday for weeks. competition breeds better choices for us all and my fat ass applauds each and every new food venue in town...regardless of where I decide to eat or not. we are enjoying many new food options....trucks, restaurants, carts and future stores. the more the merrier.....some will flourish and others will fail. bring 'em on!
Competition is a good thing but we need more lodging in Hudson so these food options have enough eaters. Now that B&Bs in residential neighborhoods have to get commercial mortgages because of the new tax code I can't imagine many more will open. Only in Hudson
Windle, what is going on? Aren't they going to fix this nonsensical mess?Is there anything ,like a petition, the rest of us can do to help this situation, with all the B&B's.Please let us know!
We DO need more lodging in Hudson. I can't find a place to stay for a week around the time of my Hudson High School reunion next Oct.12-13.(my house sold!)
Love the idea of Tortillaville, but their food doesn't taste very good, their service is slow and even sometimes rude. Maybe competition will help them improve... that's my sincere hope.
The more the merrier. Let the invisible hand of Adam Smith flex and serve up hundreds of tacos. Now, AG could go head to head with Swoon on things like seared day boat cod with pickled ramps. That I'd love to see.
