Pedestrian Pedestrian No More
A reader shared this op-ed piece from the New York Times with me, and I share it with you: "Now Coveted: A Walkable, Convenient Place." Could this mean that we can finally stop demolishing buildings to build more parking lots?
This seems to me to be an example of the fallacy in logic of "post hoc propter hoc."
ReplyDeleteI didn't read the underlying study but I think a lot more than "walkability" goes into property values -- e.g., some of the cities mentioned were in big subprime mortgage bubble states where property values have dropped for a lot more reasons than walking vs. driving!
