There was every indication that the scaffolding in front of 211 Union Street--the birthplace of General Worth--would be coming down on Friday. Even Tim Smith, the mason in charge, said so. But at the end of the workday yesterday, the scaffolding and the plastic shroud remained--now reinforced by two blue tarps. Meanwhile, inquiring minds want to know what all that plastic is hiding.
I really am not excited to see what's behind this curtain. Delay it as long as you wish. We'll all get to 'enjoy' the transformation for a long long time...
