The Taste of Summer

Gossips doesn't normally comment about food, leaving that to blogs like Hungry in Hudson and Scott Baldinger's Word on the Street, but a recent discovery has inspired me: the vegan pesto from Bruno's. It's excellent and much closer and less expensive than Buddha Pesto (another favorite) that's sold at Kaaterskill Farm when you're lucky enough to find it there. Vegan pesto is now a special at Bruno's, and I hope they keep making it as long as there's a supply of fresh basil.
