Following the Progress of the DRI

Today, City Hall announced the creation, on the City of Hudson website, of the repository for documents relating to the City's DRI (Downtown Revitalization Initiative) projects. The DRI documents can be viewed here. So far, there are only six documents in the Document Center: the feasibility study on the Dunn warehouse done by Saratoga Associates in 2015, the stabilization plan for the building that was part of the DRI Strategic Investment Plan in 2018, and agendas and summaries of the DRI Committee meetings that have taken place so far this year.

  1. As we wait wait wait for work to actually start on Promenade Hill, the entrance remains a disgrace. As my friend said as we walked over and past all the crumbling black patch covering the pockmarked red concrete, "This is terrible." Indeed it is terrible. The entrance to our public park with the best view of the Catskills on this side of the river and it essentially says: "Please try not trip on or look at the crap at your feet. We might actually make it respectable and safe some day but it won't be until the DRI allows us to." We all deserve better.
