Meetings of Interest in the Week Ahead

This week's meetings all take place today and tomorrow.
  • On Monday, September 12, the Common Council holds its informal meeting at 6:00 p.m. Among the items on the agenda for the meeting is a resolution in support of the application for a Restore NY Communities Initiative grant for the proposed redevelopment of the Crescent Garage. The meeting is a hybrid--taking place in person at City Hall and on Zoom. The link required to join the meeting remotely has not yet been published. At some time before the meeting takes place, it should appear on the city website: http://cityofhudson.org. Scroll down to the calendar.

Update: Tonight's Common Council meeting will be in person only, because the WiFi is not working at City Hall.
  • On Tuesday, September 13, Hudson Community Development and Planning Agency (HCDPA) holds its regular monthly meeting at noon. Last Wednesday, after the meeting of the Industrial Development Agency, members of the HCDPA board, most of whom also serve on the IDA board, held a special meeting in executive session to discuss the disposition of HCDPA-owned properties sought by the Hudson Housing Authority. It seems that an agreement between HCDPA and HHA has been reached regarding the four parcels, and the terms of the agreement may be revealed at Tuesday's meeting. The meeting is virtual. Click here to join.

Tuesday Morning Update: Today's meeting of the HCDPA board has been canceled.
  • At 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13, the Planning Board holds its monthly meeting. Among the items on the agenda for the meeting, are the continuing review of proposal to convert the buildings at Warren and Fourth streets into a hotel, the proposal to subdivide the land along the south side of Hudson Avenue into sixteen building lots, and the proposal for the restoration and redevelopment of the former Community Theater building. Also on the agenda is a revised site plan application for Return Brewing, which divides the project into two phases: Phase One being a pop-up exterior beer garden selling beer only; Phase Two being the indoor brewery and taproom. The meeting takes place virtually. Click here to join.

Tuesday Morning Update: Gossips has just learned that tonight's meeting of the Planning Board has been canceled.
