About Tomorrow's Planning Board Meeting

The agenda for tomorrow's Planning Board meeting appeared on the City of Hudson website this morning. As predicted, the subdivision project proposed for Hudson Avenue and the plans for the new location of Lil' Deb's Oasis are on the agenda, as is the proposal to build two apartment buildings, with a total of twenty one- and two-bedroom units and two commercial spaces, at 117-121 Fairview Avenue.

New on the agenda is a proposal to renovate 241 Warren, adding two commercial spaces for retail/office space on the first floor.

If the proposed renovation involves any alteration to the facade of the building, the proposal will also require review and approval from the Historic Preservation Commission.

For those waiting for Colarusso's conditional use permits to appear once again on the Planning Board's agenda, there is an item under "Other Business" called "Attorney Client Session." It's only a guess, but it seems likely that the ruling recently handed down in Colarusso's latest lawsuit against the Planning Board will be the topic of discussion in this conversation, from which the public is excluded.

  1. The Attorney Client Session is where counsel will tell the Planning Board everything Colarusso wants to hear.

But following to the Appellate ruling, the first of the two Colarusso applications on any Agenda must be for the proposed road rather than the conditional use permit. The latter CUP permit will first require completion of the SEQRA process.

But does the Planning Board grasp the difference? Does the Board's attorney even know? Going by past performance it's reasonable to have doubts.
