As March ends, and April begins, here is what's happening.
- On Monday, March 31, at 6:00 p.m., the Common Council holds a public hearing on the petition to amend the city charter to change Hudson's form of government from mayor/council to city manager/council. - On Tuesday, April 1, the Conservation Advisory Council (CAC) meets at 6:00 p.m. The meeting is a hybrid, taking place in person at City Hall and on Microsoft Teams. Click here for the link to join the meeting remotely.
- On Wednesday, April 2, the Hudson Industrial Development Agency (IDA) meets at 9:30 a.m. This past Wednesday, the IDA held a public hearing on the application for a PILOT (payment in lieu of taxes) and other benefits for the building proposed by the Galvan Initiatives Foundation for 75 North Seventh Street. It is not certain if the IDA will vote on the application at this meeting, but it is a possibility. Whether or not there is a vote, a discussion of the proposal and the public comments is likely to happen. The meeting is a hybrid, taking place in person at 1 City Centre, Suite 301, and on Zoom. - At 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, the Common Council Legal Committee holds its monthly meeting. The agenda for the meeting is not yet available, but it's possible the committee will be discussing accessory dwelling units (ADUs) and whatever code amendments may be needed to facilitate the construction of ADUs in Hudson. - On Thursday, April 3, the Public Works Board meets at 5:30 p.m. It is not known what will be discussed at the meeting, but it's certain to relate to the implementation of Hudson's Sidewalk Improvement District legislation.
