This post is a footnote or an addendum to Friday's post about 76 North Seventh Street: "Update on the "Depot District." That post shared the rents for the apartments that were published on Zillow. That information is provided again below.
According to Zillow, there are both one- and two-bedroom apartments in the building that rent for less than $2,000 a month. Curiously, the brochure provided by Galvan/Baxter to people who inquire about the building provides different information. According to that brochure, the rent for all of the apartments exceeds $2,000 a month.
The rent for one-bedroom units starts at $2,275, the rent for two-bedroom units starts at $2,750, and the rent for three-bedroom units starts at $3,300.
The brochure also provides this information about parking. (Click on the image to enlarge.)
Most interesting in the information about parking is that if you want one of the forty spaces provided--either on Railroad Avenue or at Washington and Sixth streets--it will cost another $125 a month. Otherwise tenants must seek parking on the street or in the municipal lot on Columbia Street between Fifth and Sixth streets. (At least that lot provides EV chargers.)

I like the reference to parking “along 76th Street and State Street.”
ReplyDeleteI’m really happy that me and all my fellow taxpayers in Hudson get to annually subsidize this market rate faux luxury development. Is this what “housing justice” looks like? Is this the solution to the housing crisis that Galvan helped create by scooping up property and leaving much of it vacant? All owned by an out of town billionaire who sues the city every chance he gets. Even sued the Yummy Food Truck for someone tripping on Galvan’s decrepit sidewalk on 5th… a sidewalk that we’ll also end up paying for though the new sidewalk tax.
ReplyDeleteThe only person who may be getting a good deal on renting from Galvan may be hometown hero, Mayor Kamal Johnson, who’s never disclosed how much, if any, rent he’s paying them.
Great deal! Park in the City Hall lot two and a half blocks away, walk ten minutes to an apartment on any floor. Twelve or fifteen minutes with groceries? Who on earth would want to park their car there?
ReplyDeleteNote to Galvan: the Parking Committee is planning on getting rid of parking lot permits!
