There is a letter to the editor in today's Register-Star from the Hudson City School District Board of Education, reporting on the dismal state of contract talks with the Hudson Teachers' Association.
A clarification: the letter is from the entire board of education. That could be a first. But it's an indication of how badly the teachers union is behaving. --p meyer (now a citizen).
This blog takes its name from the 1850 novel by Hudson author Alice B. Neal. The original Gossips of Rivertown cast a gimlet eye on Hudson society in the mid-19th century. More than a century and a half later, the new Gossips carries on the spirit of the original, but in a different genre and with a different focus.
