The renovations to the Columbia County courthouse moved closer to being realized last night when the Board of Supervisors awarded the contracts for general construction, mechanical work, and plumbing. Electrical work apparently needs to be rebid. Nathan Mayberg has the story in today's Register-Star: "Courthouse contracts OK'd."
The alterations to the 1907 Warren and Wetmore building include a new addition at the back of the building and artfully concealed handicapped access ramps on the building's north facade.
