Last Days

Today is the last day that Earth Foods, the family owned and operated restaurant at 523 Warren Street, will be open and serving. After seventeen years of nourishing hungry Hudsonians and visitors to our city, Sal and Duffy Sanchez, the patriarch and matriarch of the family (and the restaurant), are retiring, and Earth Foods is closing. John Mason reported all the details on Saturday in the Register-Star: "Earth Foods, a Warren St. staple, closes Monday."

Today is also the last day to vote for The Hudson Standard, Hudson's own maker of small batch shrubs and bitters, in the competition for the Martha Stewart American Made Audience Choice Award. The Hudson Standard is a finalist, but your votes are needed to make it an award winner. The voting ends at midnight today, October 19. So, show your support for this local entrepreneurial business by clicking here to cast your votes.
