Scott Baldinger has a wonderful post on his blog at GoToHudson.net recalling his first visit to Hudson in the winter of 1985. As is the case for many of us who have settled here, it was the architecture of Hudson that amazed and delighted him and made him think that this was a place where he might someday like to live. His recollection concludes with an appeal for the preservation of this historic streetscape--what remains of an early settlement known as Schermerhorn Town--and, in particular, 900 Columbia Street.
