Seven Decades of Hudson

Tonight, at 6 p.m., in the Community Room at the Hudson Area Library, Wendover (Wendy) Neefus III will show and discuss unique photographs of Hudson in a presentation called "Remembering Neefus Photography: Seven Decades of Unseen Images of Hudson."

Many people remember Neefus Photographers, which until July 2013 was located at 743 Warren Street, as the place to go for graduation pictures and family portraits, but the family also photographed buildings and life in and around Hudson during the three generations they were in business. In his talk, Neefus will show many of these images.

If you cannot attend this evening's event, all is not lost. Many of the negatives of these photographs were donated by Neefus to the library's History Room, and they have been digitized. There is currently a video exhibition of the Neefus Collection that can be viewed through the end of May whenever the library is open.

Tonight's presentation is part of the History Room's Local History Speaker Series, offering monthly talks, open to the public, on diverse topics related to the history of Hudson, Greenport, Stockport, and Columbia County.
