The street sign at the corner of North Third and State streets, which was knocked down a while back, has recently been replaced.
It seems some things in Hudson haven't changed since Stephen Bergman was growing up here in the 1950s. Writing as Samuel Shem, Bergman characterized the thinly fictionalized Hudson that is the setting of his 2008 novel The Spirit of the Place as a "town of breakage." In this case, we might call it more appropriately a town of "mistakage."
