Political Perennials

A few hours ago, Register-Star reporter Amanda Purcell posted on her Facebook page a press release she had apparently received from CEDC (Columbia Economic Development Corporation) announcing that Cappy Pierro, now of Taghkanic, has been elected chair of the Columbia County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) and the Capital Resource Corporation (CRC).

 Pierro, who was Rick Scalera's longtime mayor's aide, has been serving on both those boards since June 2016. The other members of the IDA and CRC are Sidney Richter, Sarah Sterling, Robert Galluscio, Bill Gerlach, and Brian Keeler.

    Is that the same guy who was on the Hudson Planning Board and was doing a real estate deal with Colarusso while he was participating in their project review?
