This past Wednesday, Justin Weaver and Holly Tanner spoke with Mayor Rick Rector for an hour on the WGXC radio show Something to Talk About. That show has now been archived and can be heard by clicking here. In the free ranging conversation, which covers such diverse topics as the DRI, the Youth Department, affordable housing, and a four-year term for future mayors, Rector reveals that he intends to seek reelection in 2019 and predicts that 2019 will be a transition year for the City of Hudson.

The most important thing the City is pursuing is the Common Council's planning initiative.
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time in my experience that Hudson has had a productive Council that is also responsible and responsive.
Past Council's left little of use in their wakes, or even outright messes, a number which remain problems for us today.
Even so, with the present Council we're in new territory altogether. I can't express my astonishment and appreciation enough.
a 4-year mayoral term seems like a no-brainer. Two years is not nearly long enough to get things rolling.
