Yesterday, Gotham Hudson, the cannabis dispensary that opened as a pop-up shop in The Caboose last November, made the following announcement on Instagram:
We hate to say it, but Gotham Hudson has come to an abrupt end. We have absolutely loved becoming a part of the Hudson community and wish this weren't the case.
Why is this happening?
If you've been following along, you've seen our shopping experience in Hudson evolve. Through the end of last year, the OCM allowed us to operate normally at our Hudson outpost. Once that program ended, we began a new method of operation that was legal, but regrettably more complicated for you. The OCM has decided that we did not correctly interpret their regulations. We may disagree, but for now our hands are tied.
We promise that Hudson hasn't seen the last of us. We can't thank you all enough for your patience and the joy you brought by welcoming us into the Hudson community. Stay tuned, and for now, stop by our Bowery location next time you're in town. We'd love to say high.
