Hallelujah!

Everyone has something without which Christmas just isn't Christmas. If for you that's singing or hearing The Messiah, hie thee to the First Presbyterian Church, at the corner of Warren and Fourth streets, this Saturday at 4 p.m.

That's where ClaverackLanding founder and conductor Gwen Gould will be directing a chorus of hundreds in singing Handel's beloved oratorio, and you can be part of it, singing with professional singers and musicians. The soloists are Amanda Boyd, soprano; Carol Curran, mezzo soprano; John Davey, tenor; and Charles Martin, bass. The ClaverackLanding Ensemble, which will be providing the accompaniment, is made up of Miriam Shapiro and Cindy Ogulnick, violins; Eric Martin, viola; Lucy Barado, cello; and Gill Lev, piano.

Strike the harp (well, there is no harp) and join the chorus! Admission is just $10 at the door. Light refreshments are included, and you don't even have to bring your own score!
