The State of the Police

Yesterday was Ellis Richardson's last day as chief of the Hudson Police Department, and in today's Register-Star, Richardson speaks about his nearly fourteen years of being chief: "Richardson looks back on his days as police chief."

Today, too, the Register-Star confirms predictions reported by Sam Pratt on his blog yesterday that Sergeant L. Edward Moore of the New York State Police is likely to become Hudson's new police chief: "State Police sergeant could be next Hudson chief." For those interested in Moore's qualifications for the job, his resume can be viewed at
