In future, if the City-owned land east of Water Street gets developed, where will the Elks put their waterfront midway?
There is that huge parking lot just past the Basilica, who owns that? It is big enough to be a fairgrounds, or would be a great spot for a community pool in a park-like setting. A 50 meter community pool would be a great boon to the city and would be good in many other ways, for intermingling and race relations for example.
