Getting the Story Right

Early yesterday, the Register-Star published a story about Christ Church Episcopal's new DEPO (Delegated Episcopal Pastoral Oversight) status. By mid-morning, the original story had been withdrawn, and by mid-afternoon, a revised story appeared, with an Editorial Note explaining the misrepresentation: "Big changes at local church." Today, there is a My View in the Register-Star from Father John Perry, rector at Christ Church, explaining church's new status and its significance: "Story wrong on church and same-sex marriage."
