Alas . . .

What should have stayed on the Hudson River arrived today at its destination across the sea: "Replica of Henry Hudson's Half Moon docks at Netherlands museum."

  1. What a great loss. It was a no brainer that the Halfmoon not only should have stayed in Hudson, but that it should have been a centerpiece, museum and something that the city should have "scooped up." But, that takes vision.

  2. Twenty years ago, the Hudson Development Corp entered into a deal with Hudson Power Boat.

They were to trade the land they now occupy for the land north of the state boat launch. They now have both.

The Power Boat got both properties and that left little space for "no brainers" like the Halfmoon.
