In the summer of 2014, a proposal to construct a four-unit apartment building at the corner of Fairview Avenue and Bayley Boulevard got its required variances from the Zoning Board of Appeals and received site plan approval from the Planning Board. Over the past three years, construction of the building has proceeded in fits and starts, much to the vexation of some who live in close proximity to the site. In the dead of this past winter, the building was finally framed out, but, for the past few months, in the height of the construction season, no progress has been made.
It is now rumored that the Galvan Foundation has purchased the partially constructed building. That should ensure its speedy completion.

Thank you Gossips for this update.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Galvan, is this latest investment location the most Easterly for the Foundation?
Have you any info that the former American Legion property on Fairview Ave. is to be renovated for a future restaurant?
