The Great War: June 12, 1917

From the time the Liberty Loan program began in late April 1917, ads and news items exhorting people to invest in the war appeared frequently and regularly in the Hudson Evening Register. The one below appeared on the front page of the Register for June 12.


Also on the front page was the following item, which suggests that Company F, Hudson's "crack unit" of the National Guard, was doing its own fundraising.
