Last night, in the bitter cold, there was a fire in Hudson that called out Hudson's volunteer firefighters as well as units from Greenport, Catskill, Stottville, Athens, Claverack, and Germantown. The fire started on the third floor of 260 State Street, now known as
3rd State. The people in the building at the time of the fire escaped safely; two firemen suffered minor injuries. Amanda Purcell has the story in today's
Register-Star:

ReplyDeleteI second that! When you consider how quickly a fire like this spreads, it is a wonder that no one was killed and that the structure is still intact. Bravo brave firefighters!!!
