Let's Be Careful Out There

On Monday, the Register-Star reported an increase in the number of rabid raccoons in the area: "County health officials issue warning after increase in rabies cases."

Last night, a bear visited a front yard on Hudson Avenue. A Gossips reader on the scene shared these pictures.

A video of the same bear climbing a utility pole a few blocks away, in which someone can be heard telling the bear to "get down," can be viewed here. Hudson police officers tracked the bear and reported that it eventually left the city traveling east, inspecting bird feeders and garbage cans along the way.
