The Common Council Events Committee, made up of Dominic Merante (Fifth Ward), Ryan Wallace (Third Ward), Vicky Daskaloudi (Fifth Ward), and Art Frick (First Ward), has one function: to dole out the money allocated each year for events in Hudson. This year, the Events Committee has $30,000 to award to "events and projects that encourage the marketing of Hudson as a destination for overnight and day-trip visitors."

On Friday, the committee announced it was now accepting applications for funding. Applications, which must be submitted to City of Hudson, Attn: Common Council Events Committee, 520 Warren Street, Hudson, NY 12534, are due by March 15. The application form can be found here.
