When Michael Howard announced he was running for county judge, Gossips reported it. Since then, two more Democrats have announced their intention to seek the position of county judge: Brian Herman and Mark Portin. There are two judgeships open in Columbia County because Jonathan Nichols and Richard Koweek have announced their retirement.
On Thursday, February 16, the Columbia County Democratic Committee is hosting a judicial candidate forum with all three Democratic candidates. The forum takes place at 7:00 p.m. on Zoom. Advanced registration is required for the forum. Click here to register.
